A big congratulations to Peg Spear on successly completing her Introductory II assessment. Peg is now a fully certified Iyengar yoga teacher! We are very proud of her.
How fortunate we all are to have found this great and noble subject of Yoga. Iyengar Yoga is a path with integrity and truth. Whether it is Yoga or something else, it is very easy to develop a self-rightous attitude in our practice and studies or conversely to feel unworthy of the lofty goals Yoga sets. We are all human with human failings and human glory, and we are here to learn and evolve. Whatever happens in our lives, Yoga stands as a ladder to help us step by step ascend, to improve, to learn love and compassion for all.
Kate Marshall-Chase with Geetji Iyengar in Pune, India this past December. Kate attended a specail 10 day intensive course by Geetaji in celebration of her 70th birthday. Approximately 1300 students and teachers from around the world attended.
