Dedicated to the teachings of Sri BKS Iyengar
Dear Friend in Yoga,
Happy Holidays! We hope you are well and keep your health and balance this unpredictable time of year. Really any time of year - life is changeable. Your daily yoga practice will give you a base of stability and vitality - no matter where you are or what is happening around you. That was the message Dr. Geeta Iyengar told 1200 students the day before she passed - her message was "practice"!
Geetaji will be missed by students around the world. She touched the lives of 10,000's of students over the years with her masterful teaching and dedication to Iyengar Yoga. A dedicated student and brilliant teacher, her guiding light will continue to inspire students worldwide. Our condolences to her family and the worldwide yoga community.
Geetaj's "departure" came one day after conducting mega - classes celebrating the 100th birthday of her father, Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar. We had small celebration here at the Center (see photos below).
Hope to see you soon.
Namaste, Happy Holiday and New Year,
Dean & Rebecca
